About the Japanese Byron Society:

The Japanese Byron Society was established on 20 October 1984, and since then it has been devoted to the study of the life and works of the poet Byron and the cultivation of mutual friendship among its members.

As a member of the International Association of Byron Societies, the JBS organized the International Byron Conference in Kyoto in 2002.

The JBS usually holds an annual conference at the end of June and publishes an annual newsletter at the end of November.
